After we remove raccoons and or squirrels from your chimney we recommend a commercially made cap. When we remove raccoons from your attic we find an appropriate method of closing the entrance. Most raccoons enter the attic through the attic fan or through rotten wood.

In addition to a hunting license, state and federal duck stamps are required to take migratory waterfowl, and an upland game bird stamp is required to take pheasants, turkey, doves, pigeon, snipe, grouse, quail, partridge and chukar .
Trap them and move them, to protect your family. I for one do not have a problem with that. Trapping and drowning is a lot safer for everyone else but again make sure you are catching ground squirrels. You will immediately remove their home and their food source but totally destroy any chance of native plants or animals reestablishing the site for a long time. Trapping is only done when necessary. We bring out and set two freshly baited traps , placed near the opening or entry points the animal is using to go under your home or inside your attic.
Removal of these wild animals must be done, and should only be performed by trained and licensed professionals. In many cases, animals cause moderate to severe damage to property. Removal of food sources and exclusion from the garden is the best deterrent for skunks. If skunks become a persistent nuisance, surround the garden with 2-foot-high wire mesh or a picket fence, leaving no openings.
Males have weighed in at over 60 pounds. A raccoon in the wild will probably weigh less than the urbanized raccoon that has learned to live on handouts, pet food, and garbage-can leftovers. Male coalition groups in the order Carnivora are hypothesized to form in response to aggregations of females, but examination of our data suggests that this is not a prerequisite for their formation. We propose a dominance hierarchy where subordinate males benefit through increased likelihood of inheritance of territories, whereas dominant males benefit through increased efficiency of territorial defense. Males average 12-15 pounds, with some reaching 20 pounds or more, and females average 9-12 pounds. They may not reach their full size until they are about four years old.
